Avon Motel - Hawera

Great location, handy to town. Excellent laundry facilities. Kitchen and washing line available. Lovely and accommodating cleaners. Separate bedroom and kitchen corner. Spacious and comfortable suite. Good sound insulation. Quick resolution of minor hiccup.

the place was located further down the island, and I appreciated that it was away from heavy traffic and noise, although it was near the fire station- which might disturb some people. The room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained, and the service offered by the friendly staff was exceptional. Although there wasn't a complimentary breakfast, the room had a kitchen with laundry facilities and appliances. Some rooms had an extra Lazy Boy armchair for relaxation, and disability facilities in one of the rooms.

the only downside was the faint smell of the room upon arrival, but the provided scented candles helped mask it.

The location was great, close to restaurants and with easy access to the main highway. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious enough for two people. I also appreciated the fact that the room was cleaned every day.

The noise level was very high and made it difficult to sleep at night. The constant traffic from the main road kept me awake and made it hard to relax.

This hotel offers a convenient location close to several takeaways and a supermarket for supplies, making it easy for us to find a quick meal. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel facilities with laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we appreciated the full kitchen facilities and the option of using a washing line. Finally, we felt safe and secure with good lighting and a quiet room.

Not obvious to find.

We had a fantastic romantic escape at this hotel. the cleanliness was impeccable, and the comfortable bed made for a great night's sleep. the location was perfect, close to a variety of restaurants and activities. We loved the fact that there was a microwave and coffee maker in the room, which allowed us to have a delicious morning coffee and snack before we headed out for the day.

The only thing that we didn't like was that the shower had low pressure and the temperature fluctuated a bit. This wasn't a huge issue for us, but it did make for a less enjoyable shower.
